Hike to the Alpage of Chailloux

he chalets of Chailloux are built in the middle of a high mountain pasture. An exceptional green landscape allows you to admire the Mont Blanc massif as well as the glacier of Bossons, situated just at the opposite.

From Les Houches, follow the hamlet of Coupeau, take the road to la Flatiere, you can park your car at Le Bettey car park. Then, follow the path on your right up to le Plan de la Cry. Ignore the path on the right to Merlet and the one on the left to Pierre Blanche: take the track opposite winding up through the forest. It bears to the right across the hillside through clearings, gullies and woods to join the path coming from Merlet. After 2 bends you will reach the Alpage de Chailloux (1 913 m) - 2 h 10.

Suggestion : From Chailloux, possibility to continue to the Aiguillette des Houches.
